Supervision for EMDR Therapists
Swift Counselling is now able to offer flexible arrangements for supervision for EMDR therapists including: group, individual face-to-face or individual telephone or a mixture of all three.
Why supervision?
Perhaps most importantly of all, any person practicing EMDR requires supervision for good practice
Second, accreditation as an EMDR Practitioner requires a minimum of 20 hours of supervision and at least 1 year experience post completion of Level 2 or Part III training.
Accreditation as an EMDR Consultant requires a minimum of 10 hours of supervision and at least two years experience post completion of Level 2 or Part III training.
Who are the Supervisors?

Both Sally Worthing-Davies and Richard Worthing-Davies are EMDR Consultants and offer supervision for EMDR for therapists at all levels of training, including those who want to work towards accreditation as an EMDR Practitioner or Consultant.
Types of supervision available
Group
The advantage of Group Supervision is that people can learn from one another and there is the opportunity to contribute and/or listen to others in the group
For groups that work in the same workplace, there is the advantage of discussing EMDR cases and issues related to your particular workplace
Groups take place monthly on either a Thursday or Friday near Brecon in Wales or on Monday to Wednesday in Swindon, Wiltshire
Depending on the size of the group there will be one or two Supervisors
The group is open to therapists working towards Accreditation as a Practitioner or Consultant and to those who have done Level1 training and simply want supervision for their work.
Telephone
This mode is useful for those who live far away, cannot travel, or want to save time. Some people combine face-to-face and telephone supervision by alternating between these types on a monthly basis.
Individual face to face
This is available either in Wales or in Swindon.
Our Charges
Individual face-to face or telephone supervision costs £60 per hour. The supervisee is responsible for making the telephone call, if that is the preferred option;
The cost of a 2 hour group supervision session is £60.00 per person, with a retainer fee of £20 if the person is unable to attend.
